Bank of Canada Banking and Financial Statistics

Background information

The Bank of Canada provides Canadian retailers with
information about counterfeit currency. Your supervisor, Mr. Ar
mah, is preparing a pamphlet that alerts
retailers to the quantities of counterfeit bills in circulation. Mr. Armah has sent you a memo
asking you for a data analysis about counterfeit bills
.
He has provided you with a Bank ofCanada report from August 2014
entitled
Bank of Canada Banking and Financial Statistics
.
Your task:
In a one – page memo, write a direct approach message with at least three well-explained observations
in the body
that analyze
the data.
Also include in the body a graphic that
illustrates some of your key points.
Although you are not writing to the retailers, consider their
interests when choosing which data to highlight.
Keep in mind that Mr. Armah has the same data
table as you, so he does not want you to simply repeat the data. As well, avoid
providing reasons
or off
ering opinions about the data.
The complete data set will be posted on Blackboard.
Do not copy
content from any sources you might consult, including COMM 2293 instructional
materials; use your own words.
